Sourdough bread

Over the past two years in Florida, we have fallen in love with sourdough bread-baking (again). It is surprising how excited one can get about bread. As a family, we go nuts over every step of the process – from taking the starter out of the fridge, to shaping the dough, to cutting that first slice and having it simply with good fresh butter.

If you’ve ever been jobless for some time, you may appreciate with us the blessing and beauty in working with one’s hands. There is something profound in being blessed with a job, and being part of a loaf of sourdough bread coming to life connects me with that blessing somehow.
